    Tricia Holly Davis is the Technical and Strategic Adviser to the United Nations’ Making Cities Resilient Campaign, which was launched by the UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (ISDR) in 2010. Prior to joining the UN in Geneva in April, Ms Holly Davis was the Director of Commercial Sustainability for Willis Group Holdings, the global risk consultant and insurance broker, where she was responsible for developing the company’s internal and external sustainability strategy and policy, as well as representing the insurance industry’s position on Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation within international policy frameworks and organisations, including ISDR’s Private Sector Advisory Group. Ms Holly Davis previously worked as a journalist for leading international news publications, including The Times, The Financial Times, and The Economist, where she wrote about climate change and energy issues, with an emphasis on finance and policy. Ms Holly Davis serves on the Board of Directors of the Gold Standard and is a member of the European Geosciences Union and Climate Adaptation Works. She is originally from the US, where she studied biology and literature, before pursuing a masters journalism programme in Washington, DC. She currently divides her time between Geneva and Rome, Italy.
