Philippe BOUTEILLER

  • Philipp is a serial entrepreneur, experienced consultant, business angel and evangelist for all things future and innovation. Intelligent cities and building the future now have become his profession this April, when he was appointed CEO of the largest development project around Urban Technologies in Germany, the Tegel Projekt in Berlin.

Tegel or TXL, the major international airport of the city, was closed down on June 2, 2012 to be replaced by the newly opened airport Berlin Brandenburg International, Willy Brandt.

An area of 461 hectare and its iconic hexagonal terminal building designed by Meinhard von Gerkan in 1974 are just a few minutes drive from the heart of Berlin. Tegel will be dedicated to Urban Technologies and converted into an Industry and Research Park, where a dense network of universities, research institutions and industry will produce solutions for the city of tomorrow.

Philipp has been a speaker at greentech, electric mobility conferences and published on electric mobility & passenger information systems. After several years with McKinsey, where he specialised on high-tech and TIME industries, Philipp founded and built several companies, amongst them IGA Worldwide (New York), smeet (Berlin) and PIXRAY (Potsdam). He earned his PhD in international management and social psychology from the London School of Economics.
